Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is a beautiful wilderness area. The massive pink granite dome that rises above Central Texas. The scenery and rock formations are legends and magical. There is lots to do including hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, picnicking, geocaching, and stargazing.
When you go hiking at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area there are 11 miles of hiking trails. The trails all close 30 minutes after sunset, except Loop Trail. The trails do sometimes close during wet weather. This area is well maintained and to continue to keep this park clean pets are only allowed in designated in day-use picnic areas, the campgrounds, and on the loop trail. Pets are not permitted on any of the other trails. Pets are not allowed to leave pets unattended, which includes in vehicles.
The park is open every day from 8 AM to 10 PM. On Saturday, Sundays, and on Holidats there is a high volume of visitors of guests and the park reaches its capacity.
